Regular exercise during pregnancy has lots of benefits. Exercise can help reduce many of the minor discomforts of pregnancy, such as back-ache and swelling. Staying active during pregnancy improves self-esteem, reduces postnatal depression, insomnia and pregnancy-induced diabetes. Pregnant women who exercise regularly may also have a reduced risk of premature birth.
Appropriate exercise helps you prepare physically and psychologically for the demands of labour, childbirth and motherhood.

My name is Sue Hall and I’m your Embrace Aquanatal ™ instructor.
For more than 20 years I’ve been a practising midwife caring for mums and their babies. For most of those years, I’ve also been a mum myself of three teenage girls. I know that keeping fit and healthy benefits your body, as well as your mind and makes a positive difference to your birthing experience, motherhood and life.
My favourite place to be is in the ocean, where I feel young and energised. Embraced, buoyant and supported, water removes up to 80% of your body weight. Feeling weightless allows you to freely move bringing relief, building strength and most importantly, confidence.
As a mum and a midwife, I know many of the discomforts that can arise in pregnancy and how these can have a negative impact on you. My goal is for every pregnancy to be embraced. My vision for my clients is that you can use this unique time to connect with your growing baby and your changing body and make your physical and emotional health a priority.
